If there's a gutter hopper on the outside wall in that area, check it's not blocked. That seems to be the most common cause I've found for problems in those areas.

Bike outer brake cable in a drill is a mega good drain unblocked btw.
Had one in a new place that was chocked top to bottom (3 floors). Roof and drain guy was stumped. Drill and 10m of old brake outer shoved up it helped redecorate houses on the other side of the road whne it let go. Such pressure.

They do get pretty bad. Sometimes it's easier to take them apart!
Toilet snakes are like brake cables without the outer plastic.

Just had to buy a replacement 150mm backing pad for one of my sanders. When did they get so fucking expensive?!?

Just got a quote for a new combi boiler, 2250 for a Valliant 830 all fitted or another £250 for a veissman (model tbc) - are the veismans worth the extra? Not really fussed about paying a little extra if it’s worth it.

Id say that pretty competitive for london. We fit baxi stuff and I was keen to try some veissman but speaking to some other installers they have stopped fitting them as there warranty can be fickle as fuck. Id got with the valiant.

Cheers, we’ll go with the cheaper option then.

I had 3 old ones heat up and fall apart sanding a floor. Had to leave it a week before I could bring myself to replace them.
They had seen some work but the foam just disintegrated and fell apart.

This was the answer. My first time using them. They're amazing. They get so hard so quickly.

Would be even better if it had some sort of shade to not shine 30% of the light up at the sky

It's underneath a porch, which does that job fairly effectively.

Also a bit of door action.
New door fitted (not diy), but added some chicken wire with screws and washers and started to retrain the star jasmine. Also I never posted a pic of the tidied up porch overhang (previously).
Now just to work out how to redesign the front area. Then do that.
Oh and also sort out the doorbell.

Almost 50 quid for a bit of foam, plastic and velcro. I'm going to be sore about this for some time.

I had 3 to replace. I'm still angry!

Spent a pleasant day hybrid kerf / steam bending oak to make this step. It was slightly stressful given that 1 step = almost £300 of 12" X 1" joinery grade oak.

If you're using Festool did you order from N&B. They are more like £40 there.

No, that's the crazy thing it's Makita, but the only place I could find it was Axminster everywhere else seemed to have sold out.

Wonderful
Had a bedroom plastered 10 days ago. Everything else has dried apart from this ‘v’. There is some salt deposits showing on the marks.
The wall on the right is solid brick (mid terrace house). The wall in the left is an exterior wall. I’ve checked in the loft and exterior and can’t see any signs of leaks.
Any ideas?
