  • Maybe not quite as porn worthy, but I just made myself a new small bearing press. 200mm trapezoidal thread 3D printer lead screw and nuts from ali express. I took some 1" brass hex bar and turned out two nuts which I pressed the original round 3D printer nuts into, and held in place with roll pins. The press dies for 6801 and 6802 are from BearingProTools, then I made myself an over axle kit for 6903 from acetate. Having access to a lathe is fun.

  • Haha, thanks! It's one of my first projects on the lathe, I was quite happy with the tolerances I got between the brass pieces. I'm not sure having 3 different materials was the easiest way to start but working on acetal after brass and steel was qutie the dream.

    I wish there were more commonly available nuts for 8mm trapezoidal thread, it would make a nice upgrade for a lot of cheap bearing presses.
