There’s The Brompton battery front light. Think it’s made by Cateye.
Sure I’ve also seen that type of bracket with a bit of tube at the top so you can clamp what you’d normally clamp to a handlebar onto it.
SJS will have what you need fo sho.

There’s a couple different brands of the same thing under front light brackets or something in lighting spares.
Not sure what the Volt 400 normally sells for but that price seems like it might have brommy tax included.

Brought that BBB version from SJS, will see if that works :)

Cateye also do fork bracket for their lights which has the same attachment as their handlebar and Brompton fitting. It’s very similar to the Brompton one but is shaped to suit normal forks. Costs about £5 from SJS. Slightly neater than the generic mount which still requires the handlebar attachment that comes with the light.

Will check that also, cheers

I have the BBB one and it works on the MTB. Needs cinching up tightly to stay put, but it’s pretty sturdy with the thick square rubber (antivibration?)/washer that comes attached to it. Don’t twist the mount far when you have it fitted because it can shear the rubber locating pins off that washer then you’ll have to glue it on 😑
Depending on how heavy your light is it may flex/vibrate a little on rough surfaces.
I needed a lower-fitting one to clear brake cable on the road bike so bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fayme-Superlight-Bracket-Brompton-Accessories/dp/B098P6TGB5/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=Bike+Light+Bracket&qid=1647171077&sr=8-17
Which bounces around like a hyperactive slinky spring. Silliness.
My light is 200g tho…

Was that this one? https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/accessories/bbb-bls95-unimount-front-bracket/
Happen to know what the diameter of the tube is? Wondering if I can mount an exposure light from it if it’s normal handlebar diameter…

That’s it. Will measure it now.

24mm roughly. Battery has run out on the verniers.

Wonderful, thanks! Hopefully that means it’s more likely to be 25.4 than 22 so handlebar mounts will play nice. Say B&M do one that looks identical that they say is 25.4mm
Hmm.
Want to use one of these metal bracket thingies to fix a front lamp on.
Clearly this is for a fancy pants dynamo type light but is there a usb / recharge led light that fits this type of bracket?
Or it’s back to handlebar swinging.
