My Air is also not officially supported but there is a whole community behind it to make it work

..oh wow, wasn't aware of these efforts.

Does it make sense though (does your old Air run the new OS well)?

It's only running Big Sur but that one runs perfectly fine without any crashes or malfunctions. I want to upgrade it to Monterey but my partner won't let me out of lazyness
