This is one of the most brilliant/mental ideas I've ever seen and I fucking love it. Have a bump.

This would make a great home garden office with some mods.

Don't need this, but when we had to have our garage rebuilt, we hired a container to put on our drive to keep bikes and tools in. It worked really well - completely secure and dry.

Man, I'd carry that over to my place in a second, if I thought I could get away with it without the management company having a fit.

How much do HIABs cost to move something like this?

I made some enquiries about HIAB pricing yesterday. It's approx £750 for 100 mile delivery. I'd reduce container asking price to £750 if that helps.

God this is basically what I need, but no vehicle access to back yard :(
I've been using this shipping container to store a few bikes and stuff but due to an impending move I'd like to sell it on. It makes for very secure and completely weatherproof storage. I have constructed a pitched roof and partial wooded sides to make it look more "shed like" to blend in better in a residential area.
The external dimensions of the container are L: 6 ft (1.82 m) x W: 8 ft (2.44 m) x H 8 ft 6 in (2.59 m). The pitched roof adds another 25-30 cm to the overall height. The twin front doors are locked by a padlock and separate mortice lock on the front panel. There is room to store approx 10 bikes hanging from beams.
I would like £1000 for the container but I'm willing to negotiate. Check out the current prices of Asgard sheds which are lightweight in comparison. You will need to hire a HIAB to lift and transport the container and have some form of hardstanding to offload the container onto. The roof can be dismantled to allow a HIAB to access the container lifting points.
Collection from Ealing, W5.
