Finally got some mudguards on this after long last.

Nice!

Looks great!
I always feel a little uncomfortable seeing a big front rack with only a single upper fixing point though. Probs fine, but if you go the route of the straggler fork it might be a good chance to fettle on some additional supports.

Does this fit in here ? My current daily mount

I've carried 50 liters of soggy mulch on my Pelago rack with similar mounting points (Pretty sure the rack in questions is a Pelago Rasket) and it was wobbly but ultimately fine.
I'm more concerned about mounting it on a crabon fork. -

Ermmmm hell yes.
-
• #25733
^ Exactly that!
Did you make the plates/brackets for mounting the Pelago yourself?
Or is it something you can buy off the shelf? -

Rasket/PDW hack to fix onto the axle has worked out nicely
Sounds like the axle mounting bracket from PDW mudguards were used

Yeah this. The PDW guard mounts have a very handy knurled edge on them so after drilling out the Pelago mounts to mate them they still had to be pressed in using a vice. I've secured them with bolts so pretty confident they're not gonna budge. I'd prefer a Surly fork so it's off the axle but it all fits together nicely as is.
Brackets @ArthurDent has made up are a better solution as they fix with two bolts so there's no chance of slippage.

I'd love to run a Shogun Zero seatpost, and a silver stem on my Singular Peregrine build - but, all silver ahead stems look shit.
Functional thread enthusiasts - please prove me wrong.

Ritchey classic look pretty good imho

@wenzovic @jono84 The brackets are TUBUS adapter mounts you can get them here and i think they do a couple of versions, but i guess they wouldnt be too costly to actually make at home.
The metal is like 3-4 mm thick for a bit of strength.
The bolts i just nabbed from teh Pelago spares that i got with the rack.Oh by the way bike is a 650c

I always thought these were some of the nicest around:

I like the stem but it’s such a shame it’s milky, and doesn’t match the rest of the Ritchey classic stuff. At least if it was the seatpost I wouldn’t be staring at it regretting my purchase all the time (I’m exaggerating).

I've got the ritchey stem with the old face plate design with the bolts close together and whatnot. It has the same milky colour but it does pretty much bang on match the bars and seatpost too fwiw

The Nitto shape (especially around the steerer clamp) is amazing. I'd go for that on looks alone 😂
When I was speccing a bike I built a while ago I'm sure Soma did a silver stem, as did Velo Orange, but availability meant in the end I went with something unremarkable - the Zenith Classic:

Been enjoying this a lot so far. Mudguards still need sorting properly.

First stab at building up my partners old Fratello that's been hung on the wall for the past few years. Got the wheelset for a good price from a friend and splashed £15 on a tensioner otherwise everything else is spares bin or from her old single speed. I need to swap the tyres to some 28C GK's, desticker and acetone the finishing kit and will probably cover the frame in old stickers so it's a little more lock up friendly. Rasket/PDW hack to fix onto the axle has worked out nicely but i might have a hook on a Surly 650b fork with the same atc, rake and rack mounts. If that happens i might nick the PDW guards off her unused road bike that clear bigger tyres and see if i can squeeze some 35's on.
