was fine, v quick. got an app on my phone to keep track of it. Nice to have some peace of mind as it lives outside 98% of the time. Worried about component theft still so I may invest in a few more hexlox, want to secure the brakes.
have already got the saddle, seatpost, stem and front wheel sorted, rear wheel is locked to the frame when parked up.

On an Omnium cargo, can send you a pic via DM of where i've chucked it. Don't think it's risky posting it here but you never know..

had to patch the inner tube on my r&m load 75, which has an enviolo hub so of course you have to remove the gear cables to get the wheel off
Replacing the gear cable nodule thing into the housing on the hub. The bottom gear cable doesn't have anywhere close to enough slack to get back into the housing on the hub. Played around with the barrell adjusters but still at least 5mm too short.
Anyone else had this problem?

I also had this issue. One thing it could be is that the thing that accepts the cables does not go through its full rotation if the hub is at rest (you may have noticed that the full gear range is not accessible when you stop). If you give the hub a pedal it should allow you to move the nodule thing more in both directions. This may solve your issue (or may not 🙃).

I ended up removing the cables completely and putting in new ones before I realised this, so I'm not entirely sure this was the only issue.

There will be a way, if it was on there ok before. Quite hard to help without looking sorry
For next time could be worth trying to remove the tube from the rotor side, leaving the enviolo attached. Works with UA.

Anyone have a lead on plastic crates?
I have a flimsy one I saved from the bin on the street but would like a sturdy one for the omnium rack, open top and not too deep -

Yes, i do quite like the stackable ones that supermarkets use. I often find them discarded outside my local pub.
they have holes in the bottom so easy to inner tube to the rack.
they nest with each other or you can flip the handles out and they’ll stack pretty nicely.

Might have one sitting in the side return, how big do you want it?
-
• #8964
Any size up to the full size of the rack really

Highly recommend speaking to any local bakeries and asking for a ‘confectionary tray’ much lower profile than most other plastic trays, holes in the bottom so easy to mount to the rack. If you order a whole tray of cakes, they might give you the tray for free
Here’s mine which served me well for many years:

Bosch Cargoline Speeds been dropped from the line, bummer. I liked that configuration a lot.

Couldn’t find the thing, will look again when it’s not pissing it down- it’s probably moved to the basement or the garage.

Certainly not a priority. Don't look now

I have some supermarket ones that I found on the street. Dead useful for stripping stuff in the garage too.
There’s always a few kicking around at my work, I reckon a quick scout round some industrial/retail estates and you’d find some.

Can any Omnium owners confirm that the seat post clamp is 34mm? Im struggling to find a silver one in that size if anyone has a lead?
-
• #8974
34.9mm I believe
Edit: omnium website says 34.0

Stock is 34mm, but plenty of 34.9mm have been fitted...
Ah I've been fitting a few trackers to cargo bikes recently. What bike and where is the unit tucked away?
