Would have been less close if my old phone was quicker at sending pics. I do hope the clue isn't too obscure. I found the church by image searching for 'modern church london triangle'.

Ha! I went to the Town Hall and concluded that it was not the tag. Then spend half an hour aimlessly cycling around Stoke Newington to see if I might find it by pure chance.

I mean how many buildings in Stoke Newington with Stoke Newington written on them would you expect there to be? Fewer than I imagined, as it turned out.

I don't recognise the new one as a retag but they weren't all labelled in a Schick compliant way in the past. Easy enough to find, I think.

The old one isn't really part of the Town Hall, though they are all municipal buildings on that patch. I don't know what it's for or if it's even still in use. There's a nuclear bunker just behind it.

I’ve never worked out what those black plastic Thames Water bollard things are (bike leaning post in this pic). Anyone?

The Haldo Telemetry pillar is a robust communications bollard, originally pioneered as a joint venture with Thames Water to incorporate their transmitter and data logging equipment along side the associated electrical control gear. Thames Water currently use this tough enclosure to monitor flow & pressure enabling early leak detection and flood warning alerts.

Googling the man in the pic plus the word memorial brought it up first hit for me.

turns out I was googling the wrong person, which explains my lack of success.
