  • Here's the frame I'll be working with. First order of business will be stripping it down so it can be sent to get some new cable guides added, old ones removed, new chainstays with wider clearance, 1" headtube and a new paint job. I've also be commissioning a low trail biplane fork with "all the mounts" which should be coming soon.

  • Just kidding. What kind of lunatic would buy a bike frame and then modify it when they could just... not? I struggle to imagine how shameless you would have to be to approach someone with the skills and equipment to perform these modifications and confess your deranged intentions.

Fortunately I was raised with an awareness of my place in the world, so I don't embarrass myself in front of powdercoaters, welders, machinists, mechanics and other honest professionals in this way.

First order of business will be seeing if I can make sense of the headset that came with the frame. I would rather not have to buy a new headset if at all possible.

Looks like the previous owner met with significant resistance when trying to cut the steerer tube.

  • As many of you have surmised, I am in fact a highly qualified LFGSS shitposter with elite clearance and over 300 lunatic comments in the gravel thread. However, due to the sensitive nature of the build and because I thought it would be funny, I have been forced to adopt this burner account.

  • Is this the Kaffenback of the 2020s?

  • I don't embarrass myself in front of powdercoaters, welders, machinists, mechanics and other honest professionals in this way

    Meh...¯_(ツ)_/¯

It was interesting, fun and satisfying when I did it. It was a frame I already owned though, not a new purchase. That would be madness.

  • Stelvio reminds me of that Dylan song.. stel-vi-oh!

    Silvio

  • laminate flooring? definitely @amey

  • Also, your headset has an underbite. Rainwater will pool here and rust the bearings .it needs a wider skirted lower headset to avoid catastrophe ..

  • European plug sockets though.

  • user @fizzy.bleach has returned

  • @si_mon628 Your inbred is a banger. I wouldn't take this thread too seriously... I am literally LARPing.

@D_mars Is this real? I 200% don't want to deal with it. Can I just get a normal headset.

  • There’s one sure fire way to tell.

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • What happened to Charge bikes?

Superficial research won't show you anything.

The name has been bought by an ebike manufacturer (Direct current, positive or negative "charge?")

2016 aluminium disc brake Plug was years ahead of "gravel" trend.

    Reasonably priced, good looking.

    Seemingly no trace left?

    https://www.bikebiz.com/community/larsen-takes-charge-at-cannondale bikebiz article removed?

    Cover up?

    Charge -> Fabric.

    Stay normal.
