DH stems (the brown bit in the image) mount directly to the top of the upper crown on a DH fork. Enduro stems are normal stems designed to clamp on a steerer. This gadget seems to adapt a DH stem to a normal fork.
Could be useful for someone who has a Norco Range for example and wants to swap between double crown and normal forks without fitting a new stem and having to re-set bar roll etc. Very niche though.
Triple clamp DH forks have a lower axle to crown than e.g. a Zeb, at the same travel. There’s an American chap using a DH frame for Enduro who has found he has to use a 190* Zeb to match the 200mm DH fork IIRC, so you’d have to tread carefully with the geo if doing that.
