I've been doing it every morning but it's taken some work to stay injury free. Stretching properly or using a percussion massager is absolutely necessary for me.
As far as running 5k. I managed a 10k charity run having run daily 3k's only, just slowed my runs for a couple of weeks and broke it down into 3k sections.
Short distance means you can focus on your gait and posture too.
1500m is a classic race distance :)
I did but really appreciate the thought, very generous. And thank you @Airhead for the short-run encouragement, it's taken me a few days to process. I realise I've been thinking that if I'm unable to run 5k I'm not a 'proper' runner but you're right, 3k a day is 3k more a day that I was doing this time last year and I think it's a practice I could keep up too. Really appreciate that 'lightbulb' moment. Even if I don't make the 5k I'd be happy with that practice.
