this spanner is for my brake nuts, not my axel nuts, that little plier spanner looks cute.
can i use a non narrow wide chain ring for a road bike with a clutch rear mech? should be fine? biggest bump it's going to take is a kerb
they're 130 bcd and finding a 38t narrow wide chainring is hard/ expensive for the fractional gain it will give me over 42, but also the idea of buying a bb, bolts and ring, swapping it all on the 110 cranks i have is too much time/effort/money , although would allow me to use a 34t
the other option is buying ANOTHER 104 mtb crank, spacers and a 30t ring and have the same, ideal set up on all my bikes
You can run a clutch rd without at nw chainring just fine. Just don't downshift more than a couple of gears while coasting.
I've run that setup on my own and my SO's bikes.
Go to ebay or Aliexpress for china's finest NW chainrings for your 130 bcd cranks.
You can live without but dropped chains and greasy hands make bike life miserable.
