I think this is the right thread, I've lived locally to Peddars way for years but never got round to doing it but on Saturday i planned a full day out.
Definitely no gravel but more mud, fields and floods. It was a good laugh and there was some hike a bike where i planned a walk onto the coast path before Thornham. I'd fully recommend if anyone wants a tough day out. I wouldn't recommend 33mm tyres and forgetting spare brake pads though ...
The fields were bumpy so wider tyres would of given me more comfort and potentially more grip. I used schwalbe X ones which did well as they didn't gey clogged up with mud though
