“Dictators do so well”
as i said in the dictators thread, they often get assassinated by somebody close to them, tried in the Hague or shot/hung in the street by the oppressed.

Just out of interest, like, can we think of anyone who has been convicted of a war crime committed during a war which his side won?

I think the interviews with Russian captives are against The Rules of War.

The likes of Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadžić would argue they won their war.

You could argue for the My Lai massacre from Vietnam. US may not have 'won' but they did prosecute the court martial themselves.
