First stab at building up my partners old Fratello that's been hung on the wall for the past few years. Got the wheelset for a good price from a friend and splashed £15 on a tensioner otherwise everything else is spares bin or from her old single speed. I need to swap the tyres to some 28C GK's, desticker and acetone the finishing kit and will probably cover the frame in old stickers so it's a little more lock up friendly. Rasket/PDW hack to fix onto the axle has worked out nicely but i might have a hook on a Surly 650b fork with the same atc, rake and rack mounts. If that happens i might nick the PDW guards off her unused road bike that clear bigger tyres and see if i can squeeze some 35's on.
I always feel a little uncomfortable seeing a big front rack with only a single upper fixing point though. Probs fine, but if you go the route of the straggler fork it might be a good chance to fettle on some additional supports.
