I made the mistake of buying a plywood table top from Ikea, and then using a jigsaw to cut a semi-circle out of it to make it into a jeweller's workbench.
It wasn't until I got to the end of the cut that it became apparent that it was hollow and internally had an egg box-like construction.
I was not pleased, and did eventually get Ikea to give me my money back on the basis that nowhere did it say that it wasn't solid plywood.
