There are quest lines with multiple npc's scattered throughout the world and in a central hub zone which give you their tale to piece together in aggregate. There is definitely story, it just doesn't come to you the way an rpg normally delivers it and its sparse on detail.

I read once that Miyazaki does this with the games because you get more from your imagination that way. This is based on his experience reading Frankenstein as a child and not having the English vocabulary to understand it in full.

There's a way to make Margit easier, Patches sells an item for 1800 that holds him down twice in the fight.

i was playing it before elden ring dropped. it's ok. but not amazing. very very linear gameplay.

I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed it being linear tbh. Nice change from everything being Open World full of clutter.

Watched Digital Foundry's tech review earlier and that got me more excited than any of the official marketing.

My (2nd) PS5 has just arrived. Sold my launch day one before Christmas, for £50 more than I paid for it, after I hadn't used it in ages.

Got completely sold on the GT7 hype and managed to snag one as an EE customer this week. Site said it was going to be 4 weeks for delivery but it arrived out of the blue today, with no tracking or anything.

Won't be able to set it up until later this evening so hoping I can get a few license tests this evening if nothing else.

Always summon help. Crafting the thing to show summon signs is so cheap don't be afraid to use them

Enjoying GT7 but the handling model on a controller is well shit. So difficult to get a feel for braking points and grip.

It took me roughly 85 hours to platinum Elden Ring (Platinum on PC that is!)
