  • Got a bunch of '3dQF' filament last year. Impressed with it, most PLA once opened even if kept in a box full of desiccant seems to give weird issues (popping sounds when extruding which mostly just leaves a bobble, but sometimes ruins the print as it skips a layer), this stuff in same situation has been happily printing away this whole time. Only £13-16/kg too. Ordered a reasonable amount and got a few free partial rolls chucked in

interesting, I just got some cheap stuff off Amazon, and it is awful, struggles with adhesion and getting loads of stringing. Annoyingly I have 3 rolls of the stuff to get through, I have had to significantly increase my heat to get it to flow a bit better. Will bookmark 3dQF for next round of purchase.

  • Would say on principle I avoid anything on Amazon. But have found in some products, the sellers on there sell seconds or actual faulty stuff, but at full retail, and then good luck trying to return or 'prove' thats its faulty.
Once bought a supposedly genuine Mikuni Japanese digital caliper, the price was the same as from anywhere else £105, had many reviews, but just needed one very quickly and only place that defo had one.
yeah it was fake. Couldn't prove it, could only return it, so some more poor buggers will end up with fake or junk goods.

  • Have returned the Amazon stuff, and ordered some from 3DQF, so will report back.

Have also flashed new firmware to the printer, gives much more options.
