Find someone with the latest iphone with Lidar in it. Scan using that, then spent a day scaling and verifying the critical dimms. A lot faster/cheaper than commercial 3d scanning services.
Got a bunch of '3dQF' filament last year. Impressed with it, most PLA once opened even if kept in a box full of desiccant seems to give weird issues (popping sounds when extruding which mostly just leaves a bobble, but sometimes ruins the print as it skips a layer), this stuff in same situation has been happily printing away this whole time. Only £13-16/kg too. Ordered a reasonable amount and got a few free partial rolls chucked in

interesting, I just got some cheap stuff off Amazon, and it is awful, struggles with adhesion and getting loads of stringing. Annoyingly I have 3 rolls of the stuff to get through, I have had to significantly increase my heat to get it to flow a bit better. Will bookmark 3dQF for next round of purchase.
Don't know if this is a piece of string question but I'd like to try scanning, altering and 3d printing additional brake fairings on my Cervelo. They only come as a front fairing which I already have but it would be fun to mod slightly to work on the rear too.
Is scanning the original really ££?
