  • That is cool.

  • jeen- yuhs, the Kanye West documentary on Netflix is worth this months subs. Next weeks third and final chapter is where it all falls down but acts 1 and 2 were inspirational

  • This 100%

All the studio footage in act 2 especially is so so good. His drive and belief is something else

  • Loved Chris Packham's The Walk that Made Me, proper slow TV and balm for the soul in a hectic world

  • Lovecraft Country : started out good but just got so disjointed, we watched the whole season but probably shouldn't have bothered
Reacher: mindless TV, which was a good choice after ^
The Curse: great soundtrack, and good enough story, but just felt a bit underbaked

  • Was just all over excellent indeed

  • Reacher was better that the tom cruise films

  • Agree about The Curse. Was just OK

  • Der Pass/Pagan's Peak.
Nordic Noir type series, except it's a German/Austrian production. Set in Alpine forests in winter mainly. Decent enough stuff, a solid 7.8/10.

1883 finished it's first series, absolutely stunning stuff. Been renewed for a second too.

Been ploughing the through the Walter Presents with similar stuff. Not had a lower than 7/10.
Floodlands at the moment, set on the Dutch / Belgium border.

  • Late to the party, but enjoyed The Tinder Swindler

    A proper arsehole

  • Dopesick is very good. Only 4 EPs in, but really hitting the mark.

  • Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy BBC. A very nice distraction from the doom scrolling

  • Getting spy shots from the set of Handmaids season 5. Looks as grim as ever if not more so. When will it end though?

  • Is it worth watching? I didn't watch past series 1 because my wife found it too upsetting, but said she might want to watch it in the future. Given they're now filming series 5, I might watch it without her, but if it's only mediocre, I won't bother.

  • TBH. I gave up after season 3 and only watched that because my child was in it. Having said that it gets reasonable reviews I think.

  • It's been good throughout, last series or two had a different focus and maybe dipped in the middle because there was less constant, horrific tension but finished strong.

  • I've really enjoyed it all. When I say enjoyed I mean watched in abject horror mostly

  • 1883 finished it's first series, absolutely stunning stuff. Been renewed for a second too.

Agreed, amazing. Can't usually invest much in characters, but Elsa, the Isabel May character, care about everything she does.

  • Thoughts on French drama Spiral? Watched the first episode and it managed to cram in every BBC4 crime thriller cliche going. Maybe it gets better?

  • It 100% gets better. I think it's up there with the best. Session 1 is a bit odd. They bin the clichéd fast zooms / excessive Dutch angles by season 2 and it settles in to being one of the best things I've ever seen on TV.

It's worth sticking with S1 for the back story (on both Gilou and Josephine particularly) but it improves hugely in S2 and pretty much maintains until the end.

Just thinking about it I've half a mind to rewatch the whole thing.

  • It's brilliant, stick with it. So many layers!

  • Agreed. Seems like one of the good guys too.

  • My Mum,Dad,Brother,Sister all loved it. I couldn’t get past cop has 1 sniff and suddenly he’s a raging coke fiend.

    So maybe it gets better
