Can’t build a bunker fast enough!
Probably better dying. At that Secret Bunker in Essex
https://secretnuclearbunker.com/
they explain that the armed guards that would have been stationed there were as much to keep the Gov workers to stay in the bunker as to keep any radiated plebs out. -

I don't speak Italian but from work I've done I'd say the word you're looking for is "fattura" (it's the one word I know in about half a dozen languages).

I don’t think he gives a fuck. His way or Armageddon appears acceptable to him.

I'm looking to buy some ziplock bags, for incoming purchases of Lego Technic sets, is there anywhere I can purchase them individually or in lots of 10 or 20, as I'm currently not in need of purchasing 50-100, I really don't need that many. Physical locations in London preferred, online locations are okay as well.
thanks -

Sandwich/ freezer bags from your local supermarket?

IKEA do re-sealable bags. £3.00 for 50
-
• #111810
they are a bit too big.
-
• #111811
I do not need 50. I could do 10-20 at a push, but 50+ seems like overkill for what I currently need.
-
• #111812
I think you'll be lucky to find anyone selling them in the sort of quantities you mention.
£3.00 for 50 from IKEA.
Do you not think you'll find other uses for them? -
• #111813
How soon do you need them and what size? Some of our lights come sealed in zip lock bags, could set aside some for ya?
-
• #111814
Not that I couldn't find uses for them, more not wanting to keep buying non degradable/compostable plastics. If I could find someone who was selling them secondhand I'd buy from them, the only reason I'm looking at new is because I require larger sizes.
Found some sellers on ebay who'll sell bags in quantities of 10, ideally I'd like to have seen them in person, to feel how thick/robust they are but I can take a chance on them. -

Fair comment.

This will be an ongoing venture.
Sizes I'm looking for are approximately
22 x 15 cm
14 x 12cm
10.5 x 9.5cm
8.5 x 7cm
all measured to the zip rather than the top of the bag itself.Any you could put aside would be appreciated.

At what point do people need to start prepper shopping in case nukes are deployed?
No point for me. Lakenheath and Mildenhall are just down the road, so I'll be one of the first to be vaporised. And boy are the USAF busy at the moment.

There's one hell of a fireworks display on Lydd military ranges as well!

boy are the USAF busy at the moment.
Do you think they're getting ready for the no-fly zone, just in case? Or are they just patrolling near Russia/Belarus borders?

Is there a reason you're looking for plastic? Can't you get something else and label them or do you actually need to see inside?
-
• #111821
As far as I can tell, it's almost all transport planes. Hercules and Galaxies. If I had to guess, I'd assume they're shipping materiel to NATO countries in Eastern Europe and Ukraine.

• #111822
The Ikea sandwich bags are tough and come in a range of sizes.
Personally I don't think buying single use plastics is too bad if you're not just binning them after one use.

100th Air Refueling Wing fly from Mildenhall and are supporting NATO operations at the moment. Also the only permanent refuelling wing in Europe so they are busy.

Why has the balloon gone inside the bottle?
I did an experiment with my kid. We put vinegar and baking powder in a bottle and the balloon inflated. Which I expected. The balloon went down. Which I expected.
But now a vacuum has been created.
How come?

the problem with that is that some systems may auto launch on detection of a hostile launch >>>>armageddon = end of days
