Is it steel? Does it need to move a bit, not be fixed in one position? The fixer in me is wondering if you could take it to a garage/bike shop/your friendly welder and get the blade spot welded into position for about 5 seconds work, but that won't work if it still needs mobility.

It’s supposed to have a limited range of rotation - about 45 degrees. At the moment, whatever was limiting the movement is no more and it just rotates freely. But I think the essence of what you’re saying is true and I should at least attempt to take it apart and see if I can fix it - if only for the sake of curiosity.

Where did I get this vegetable peeler? I’ve had it for years and it’s the best one I’ve used. Just broke it (the blue now rotates all the way round rather than being limited) and I’d like to find another one.
