  • I'd ride one if someone bought me one :D
I'm still just in my 20s.
I'd rather an Africa twin though if I was going for a big adventure bike. For no practical reason other than its cooler

  • Think it's fine as long as you wear the obligatory 'polite' fluro vest. Seriously though, I'm early 30s and wouldn't say no to either GS or AT but don't think I'd ever take them offroad.

  • Catalunya. Cant remember the last time it rained. That photo was at 1,000m. Not snowed much since December, been a crazy light winter.

  • yeah do it

  • No. Not if you want reliability ;)

Oh you have to go full touratech luggage too.

  • Wasn't this looked in to scientifically, and as the pattern of the position of the lights is out of what is seen as normal by the brain so is registered as something different so seen.

    Does that make some sense?

  • Remember where you are, maybe get a track bike. How is a track day there?

  • I will be 36 next Friday and commute from Cambridge to London on my 1250gs weekly.

Embrace the old man mobile. It's comfy AF.

  • Some of us bought a CBR1100XX months before their 35th… and have accepted they might never reach 36! Ha!

@lynx I’m also quite sure we’ve all discussed it on here previously. There are articles for sure but I believe it goes something like, triangle patterns make a bike look bigger, but double headlights or two spots (without a headlight) can make a near bike look like a far away car.

  • Not intersted. I like being out in the mountains. I took my trainers and combined a ride deep into the hills with a 2h hike to a viewpoint, thats my idea of using bikes.

  • Perfect .
Those yellow lights on that R9 t is what I’m after .

  • I just know I’d mess up the wiring g though , I was thinking Denali and a pro to fit them

  • Wasn't there a UK or EU one that came out with similar results.

Can't be arsed to Google, as it makes no difference.

  • Understand, just know there is a track there that people I know go there for track days because of the great weather.

Was wondering if that sort of thing appealled to me as I've never done anything like that.

  • Possibly. But this is all academic because we should all be hitting the trails on one of these…

  • That is fucking epic

  • Love that!

42 here, no desire for a GS.

  • Had Pinlock in my old one that got written off in a crash. Sooooo good.

  • no desire for a GS

Never ridden one but for touring I think they'd be absolutely brilliant, bit like a seriously quick armchair. There always seems to be one at UK trackdays embarrassing a few sports bikes. Admittedly more a Honda guy but the GS appeals more than the AF, quite curious to try something that's always in the top 10 bestselling bikes.

  • You're welcome to give mine a go if you like...

  • I fear this could be dangerous for the wallet. Very kind. Will bear in mind over the spring/summer and can offer the crf or srad in return.

  • I'm sure they're great - I just don't like big, heavy bikes. Never been my thing and even less as I get creakier!

  • I don’t think these made it to the uk , but I did see that some European outfit had made a version , it looked trick

  • Hunter Cub never made it, but the Super Cub can be modded yes indeed.
