  • I feel for the individuals, but the shambles that was the winter Olympics has shown that letting Russians compete under a non-affiliated 'team' doesn't work. There should be an absolute and complete ban of all Russian competitors, team and sponsors in all sports as long as the invasion of Ukraine continues. IMO.

  • I dont mind if they ban where they are entered from a country but from a team like ineos where they have strong anti-doping rules etc .. bit strong

  • But that's how we ended up with ROC competing in the Olympics and everyone just called them Russia and they doped anyway. Sadly there will be athletes that suffer because of it (though I'm sure other countries would welcome them if they were so strongly against the Russian regime that they would move on), but a line has to be drawn - there's been too much mealy mouthed prevarication in world sport. We sponsor Bora so it would impact that with Vlasov not being able to ride and he's in good form, but ethics more important IMO (personal rather than business view obvs).

  • The only way is a blanket ban though... nobody is a doper until they are caught doping. If you ask the "man in the street", Wiggins and Froome are dopers. You have to draw a line, the clear line is where your license or passport is from.
