I got them unused from on here but yes I believe so

You’ll need to have the frame media blasted if you want to paint it, otherwise you’ll have poor adhesion painting straight on to brushed Ti.

Bollocks
(As in ah shit, not that you're saying rubbish 😂)
-
• #280
I mean there’s nothing stopping you from painting it as is, but the finish won’t be very durable.
You could have it blasted and then just locally brush the area of the DT where you want any graphics to be.

I guess wherever I take it for painting will just do what they have to do and I'll just have to pay for the extra step. I'm not looking for (can't afford) a top notch job so it'll come out however it comes out.

If I were you I’d save yourself some money and just leave as is then. Cheaply painted Ti will look like total shit in 6 months.
You can paint straight in to brushed Ti (lots of people do) but you need to use special 2k adhesion promoter as an initial step, and treat the following layers with extra care as any de masking can peel the paint off where you don’t want it to really easily. It’s possible, but just deffo not possible & cheap at the same time.

Embrace the raw Ti, Phil
From a distance, people will just think you're a really fast 50 year old

I might ride it for the rest of winter and then get it painted properly in the summer. I might even get it done white.
-
• #287
white
But then you'd have to clean it :-(
-
• #288
Don't mudguards keep it clean?
-
• #289
Spose

• #290
I might actually take care of this one and wash it sometimes
(I won't) -
• #291
At least paint the forks.

It's very cool but it's not quite me

Do you mean a 50yo who thinks they’re really fast?

Can't believe you missed the opportunity to get a titanium nitride gold finish...
-
• #295
It's a slippery slope that leads to 24ct gold plated colnagos; one that I'm keen to resist as long as possible
-
• #296
Have you made a parts list for this yet?
-
• #297
No I was hoping to use most of the parts from my Caad but thinking about it I'll need several new bits. Though the parts bin has a few. I should probably make a list

I should probably make a list

I've been slacking horribly.
Keeping myself occupied by buying little bits like carbon seat clamp and titanium cage bolts.
I need a headset, a t47 BB and some tyres and I should get going. -

I'm also rebuilding the caadtrack so that I can dismantle the caad12 and still be able to commute. Bought some track nuts from seabass, got home to fit them so I can put the wheels on and one of the rear nuts doesn't have any bloody threads inside!
Are these the ones from VeloDuo?
