I don't believe the Whitehall gas leak story. Sounds like something from a film plot.

Putin’s attempt at nuclear blackmail shows how desperate his situation is becoming. Russian generals know what to do with a jumped-up secret policeman. Hopefully it’s just a matter of time.

EU officially supplying arms to Ukraine.
Your move Putin? :/

I'm not sure that the EU is doing anything in that line. Individual countries are, but they remain in control of their defence policy AFAIK.

“ The European Union has announced that it intends to begin shipping arms to Ukraine, the first time in its history it has taken such a step.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the move marked a "watershed moment".
She also announced a raft of new sanctions targeting Russia and Belarus, and a ban on Russia using European airspace.

It needs to be all countries bordering Russia. If the rich can transit via China, half the world is still open (and a good number have places in Singapore, HK or Thailand)

On the front line, with a plane that took off, flew to Poland, turned in a big circle, phoned the base wondering what the fuck it was supposed to do and then flew home again.
Boris can get in the goddamn sea. What a piece of crap.

Wishful thinking, how about we air drop Boris to the Belarus/Ukraine border to oversee the peace talks? Perhaps a couple of days early?
-
• #595
Also, why do we call him Boris?
Every other PM is known by their surname which is usually more stately, but in this case is just appropriate.

Air drop him without a parachute.

“Our prime minister”.
No, just your’s, Cllr Nosejockey, you tosser. -

Is this the West sensing an opportunity to get rid of Putin? If he gets forced to the negotiating table on this how could he then survive?
And what would replace him?

How thick do you have to be to think that post is going to go down well?
To be fair, he also looks like he’s slept rough for 2 hours in a cellar.

That’s just depriving him of the opportunity of getting wrapped around an electricity pylon.
Went to a protest near Russian embassy, Russians and Ukrainians were so angry in comparison to Lithuanians! Very chaotic energy. Was also surprised to see some provocateurs coming to oppose the protest. Probably hourly rate from Russian embassy is doubled on weekends?
Went to donate a couple of bags of clothing and shoes - they announced Ukrainian refugees will need 40 tons of clothing.
Amazing emotions, such a feeling of unity. It feels like reliving something like a collapse of soviet union, version 2.
