Evidence of maintenance, really- and of the stuff that counts, so coffin arms, top mounts, rads, condensers and so on, rather than just “oil and filter and ignore the odd noises”.
996.2 get it bore scoped, 996.1 I’d not bother.
If it’s had the exhaust manifolds off that’s good because those bolts can be a grand to remove if they’re in bad condition- and they’re all in bad condition.
