  • Yes, I'm sure you are correct. Just seems peculiar that a much simpler door (no overhead frame, no electronic operator, no radio signalling bippers/receivers etc) is more expensive.

    I'd be better off getting two of the sectional, bipper activated doors - but the right hand garage is going to be a workshop, and I anticipate being in and out of it frequently, so a conventionally opening door has a strong appeal.

  • I have a large up and over sectional which replaced a sprung manual door. Wouldn’t ever go back. Locking mechanisms of the sprung door are well shit and security is dodgy at best.
