Dear Ms Hayes,
I am following the news of events in the Ukraine with tears in my eyes. With sorrow for the human suffering and for the loss of the values of freedom and independence that define our civilisation.
I am writing as a constituent of yours to urge you to support in Parliament the strongest measures of support our country can give the Ukrainians.
Military assistance;
Humanitarian assistance; and
The economic and political ostracisation of Russia.
If our economy is adversely affected by such steps as we may take now against Russia, it is as nothing compared to the sacrifices of others.
We must stand united against this evil and play our part in defeating it.
