I'd like to split my Hosta. It's been getting bigger for years.
I'd like to to not kill it to death, when and how should I do it?

My lawn hasn't come through the winter particularly well. It's now a combination of long bits of grass and mud.
Do I just need to put down some grass seed, and if so when, or is there more I should be doing?

Thinking of creating a planter like this to give some extra height to some hedging we're going to get.
Our front wall is almost identical to that in the picture.
What sleepers would be best and how should I fix them in?
Currently our front garden is gravel. And @andyp thanks for Coolings recommendation: there's loads of plants and the staff are v helpful.

Can anyone ID this invasive mess that is around the back of my new shed?
Seems very twisted, going to be a full PITA to remove in the spring/summer!

@ChasnotRobert Thanks!
Bit of a shame, the white flowers are pretty but seems like a runaway train...

Tuscan limestone for @stevo_com, dusty at the moment but will show the subtle colours when cleaned up next week.

Also for @stevo_com, a recreation of the original Victorian path in modern porcelain tiles, unfortunately the originals couldn't be re-used.

Bloody hell, did you already have your finger poised on the trigger?
It would also be nice if the bastard supplier came up with the missing 50 bricks from the original order tomorrow...

Bought a house, now have a garden I can dig in. Yey!
It's mostly sorrel and waterelder infested soggy clay.
Nooh! 😂But there are plants for all soil and the buttercups in it are lovely. And we have seen frogs so a pond will be created.
I'll be doing a lot of digging though, will need a digger for some parts. Clay is...very hard work.
Anybody into wildlife gardening here? This is a nice book and even a few planters can help bees etc.
Lots of seeds on eBay I find local shop plants are a bit the same...

I have a small pond and a wildflower meadow. The meadow is brilliant, gives us a lot of joy.

Anyone else had a lot of blind daffodils this year?
Also my other daphnia looks like it's going to die. So strange. Haven't put any feed on for the star jasmine over the winter, so it seems unlikely that was the issue.

Made a start on laying the Ecobases for the Wendy House.
Need to work out what the best value gravel is. I'm itching to get planting, but it's pointless until the base is sorted.
Covid and kids are delaying progress.

Are there any garden centres in and around London/M25 ish where we can see English Yew hedges or other hedging - and opens on Sunday?
