My nan who lives alone on her dacha just outside Kyiv has now been completely cut off from civilisation; the main road that leads to her village has been bombed (Ukrainian strike to destroy bridge to Kyiv), and the only other route is via village roads directly past a military installation that’s being shelled.
On her morning woodland walk today she saw a Russian helicopter hovering above, searching for pilots of two downed Russian aircraft who landed in the woods near her house after ejecting.
