I've caved and pre-ordered it
Likewise. First game I've pre-ordered in years.
Decided to go for PC rather than Xbox Series X
Presume the 3080 should have a fair bit more grunt than current gen consolesAnyone used Moonlight to stream PC to TV? (cat6 so should be quick and stable)

When it came out a friend's older brother had a PC good enough to run it, he was the only know I knew that had it. I only got to play it many years later.

No idea - some kind of motion sickness I guess? I tried recently and had the same effect but I wonder if (after trying on every machine I've used since 2004!) it was psychological now.

Actually I'm lying. My biggest gaming regret is not completing either campaign of Counter Action despite being obsessed as a 14 year old. And not being able to successfully run it in an emulator since.

edit edit: not sure if I can save progress in browser so I'm basically not closing the window until I complete it.

Well that's a slippery slope to redundancy. I'm in the middle of an audit & month end but have just fired up a game of Dungeon Keeper in the office!

Polish developers "11-bit studios" have put up complete bundle of their game This war of mine on steam for £4-ish quid with all proceeds going towards aid for Ukraine
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/9717/This_War_of_Mine_Complete_Edition/
I've only played the board game version and have wanted to try the video game so a nice price to pick it up for especially if it helps in some small way, although feels a bit too close to real life to enjoy playing right now as it is very bleak commentary about the harsh realities of war but one to add to the steam library for brighter days for sure.

Bleak is right for this one. It suckered me in for a fair while though..

my intel 12700, 64gb pc3200 ddr4, rtx3070ti auto selects "high" settings.
but not started playing yet as got drawn into a stupidly long chapter of guardians of galaxy game while waiting for the launch time and ended up finishing that instead.
will be giving a go this eve.

Really regret never playing the HL games, feels like they'd feel a bit anachronistic now?
With Souls games you have to get used to the slower combat and being more methodical as any little grunt can kill you given the chance, however it's always possible grind some levels and each bump up makes a surprising difference. Also magic casting builds are generally a bit easier as you can kill from a distance.
