Do those 41s run big? thought the steamrollers could do bigger tires? I have 650bx47 on a steamroller fork, is a little close but works

they measure exactly 41mm in height and width (rims are 17mm internal) so no surprises with the knards

Interesting, treads must make them look more chunky. I tried some 42c GK slicks and it just made me a bit sad and went for 47's instead.

so, after 650ing the surly, the zebra is now back on 700c wheels. Ratio is 44/17 now and very comfy, and with the weather being sunny I wanted to have a longer ride. So the first "group ride" this year was to some surrounding lakes, all in all about 60km or so. Surface was mostly tarmac, the lake bits were all gravel / sandy forest paths. tyre choice were: 23c for me, mate 1 on 25c, mate 2 on 25c front, 28c rear, no problems. We rode from Wedding to Prenzlauer Berg, then out to Schönerlinde, Basdorf, Liepnitzsee, then back to Gorinsee, Schönerlinde, Buchholz and ended in Wedding again.

changed to 29c Halo TwinRail tyres i found in my spares bin. initially was not to keen on these tyres, when I first bought them they troubled with all the glass shards on my commute. cranks are now campy pistas with the same gear ratio as before (44/17). the seller enamel painted one side of the arms in yellow, not sure if I want to keep it/ add yellow to nds arm as well or get rid of it.

small Update;
after my previous everysay frameset had developed a crack near the steerer, I needed a new frameset for commuting. after some weeks of search I found a fitting colossi 13 frameset in good condition (the paintjobs on colossis are not very sturdy). swapped some parts from the old frameset but also put some better parts of the parts bin on it.
now on some silver wheels with mega worn rims and sealed bearings for the commute.
parts list :
Colossi 13 f+f, Campy record 1" headset
dia compe 100mm stem + deda piega
Campa icarus seatpost + Turbomatic 2
Sug75 bb + Campa pista crank, 49t
MKS pedals with double straps
brakes are tektro rl340 + old 105 caliper

so far I'm very pleased with the winter road fixed. with a newly fitted KMC chain, the drivetrain feels very solid now.
the badweather wheels are made from hubs of cnc-bike (ultra cheap german distributor for parts) and ambrosio futura rims.
And I built a wheelset for my Enik track bike, DA7600 on Omega V rims, back in august and finally had the time to test ride them. the cockpit is Nitto Jaguar 110 + Nitto b125AA but these are so friggin narrow that they're mainly for posing and nice photos.

the bianchi got a drivetrain overhaul. it is now 1by with a 44t in the front and a 15-25 cassette, before it was rocking a double 52/34 combo that gave either ultra high gears or some 50000 rpm nonsense. and I'm testing swept back bars, the flat bar was okay but not the comfiest.

fitted a headset, cranks and mocked up a saddle. have a chain as well as some pedals somewhere flying around. gear ratio will be 46/19. I think its rideable in a week. seatpost is 27.0 and too thin unfortunately, so I'm searching for a glossy ritchey post. put some wheels in the zebra as well so I can ride it to the späti.
