and will do 70k kms on a full charge before switching to petrol, so there’s a good chance we’ll rarely put petrol in it for daily duties, and only for bigger trips.

I don't know much about phev tech - will rarely using the ICE side of the car have a detrimental effect on the engine? Re: oils and other fluids

Yeah, do wonder about that. Isn’t the engine there to charge the battery rather than drive the wheels, so can be optimised for infrequent use?
