The manufacturing cost of a Swiss watch is shrouded in marketing waffle. I'd like to know exactly where your money goes when you buy a new Swiss steel watch for 5 or 6 grand. Some of it goes to noble charitable causes, i.e. grand prix drivers and tennis champions. Perhaps we should just stick to G-Shocks and send these people a cheque.
If you care about that then you’re interested in the wrong industry. A G-Shock probably has the same margins as Rolex. Maybe. Perhaps. Probably not but still. They sell in huge volumes and Rolex's do not.
