I've not owned a projector so can't comment from experience. From what i've read I'd say the LG looks good at that price point.
If you wanted to go a little higher, something like this might be worth a look:
https://www.richersounds.com/benq-tk800m.htmlMy brother had an older model Benq in his set up and was pleased with it. (he left it behind when he moved house, hence past tense)

I am still annoyed that the Ruark speaker I bought a few years back is totally reliant on the UNDOK app to work.
ok, I forgot about this previous rant for a good year or so where it was all working, but today the thing had a brain failure and it took me a good hour to get it going again, with numerous re-boots, factory re-set etc.
The app is clunky and for someone even less tech savvy than me, it could easily become unusable.
I wrote to Ruark about this previously and they did not respond.
Raurk, you either need to work with Frontier to improve UNDOK or else develop your own app (as you did originally).
right. feel a bit better now.

Yeah I’ve been having a look around and that LG does seem pretty spot on. So annoying. Sent it back to Amazon to be fixed, it went past their 5 day limit for time to repair so now they’ll only offer a refund, which is £100 less than I can buy it now.
I even managed to call the repair company and it’s been fixed, soon to be on its way back to Amazon… to end up in their clearance section as “like new”. Even then it’s £80 more than I paid, and I’m fucked if I’m going to pay Amazon £80 to get my second hand projector back!

Take the money and see what you can find at Richer.

What do you want to do with it?
I mainly use bubbleupnp on my android phone for sending stuff (mainly tidal, radio paradise or Plex and the odd radio station) to my ruark speaker.

Just want to have a half decent front end to play stuff from Tidal, mainly. And get the ****ing thing to work after it has decided to forget everything.
I could stream from my phone, but that seems to defeat the point of having a network enabled speaker.

I've been given a carbon project TT for christmas, but don't have an amp setup.
I've been looking at nad d3020 v2 to cover phono +some digital requirements, is there anything else in this price bracket for me to look at?

Update on the wiim mini.
Was pretty underwhelmed initially with the audio until this morning when the update was released to do bit perfect output (was 16bit 48khz before). So, so much better now.
They also released a fixed volume output which was another annoyance as before it would reset to 50% sometimes.
Would recommend (now)

Audiolab 6000A:
On-board phono stage (which is fine) and DAC (which is very good). You can find them used between £400-500. Check the reviews.

Marantz PM6007 plus a Chromecast or whatever for streaming stuff .
Also a secondhand Quad Vena II.

Me too. It replaced a 20 year old NAD C350, and it’s properly got me listening to my records and CDs again.

Can anyone suggest a UK based seller of cheap Chinese class D amplifiers, that isn't Amazon? Something like audiophonics.fr but in brexit land.

Looking to get a friend set up with their new bookshelf speakers, just need something simple and with Bluetooth.
Edit: good call on eBay, seems like Nobsound are available. Although I've definitely had recent experiences with eBay purchases coming in Amazon boxes.

Just means eBay instead of Bezos taking their cut - it's the same sellers usually. Pick your poison.

Anyone recommend some phono plugs that I can screw on/solder on (benefits?) that are decent and won't work loose, and also aren't snake oil.
Local hifi shop had some £8 jobs that shake loose after a few months, or some £400 boutique diamond encrusted shiny jobs (but there wasn't any diamonds), nothing in the middle.
Finally time to rewire the thing! Also going to do power cable as its 50+ years old and looks manky (not original, no puppies being killed). -

I bought these from Mouser last time I was making phono cables.

Need to replace an RCA input on a meridian active speaker. Can't find the bit that broke off after a move! Any tips on where to look?
Pic with the other speaker for example of part.

There is a way more active thread than this one...
You have about one year to sort this problem out!
