Closing the door is a legitimate tactic, as long as you do it gradually and without dangerous movements. I don’t think Groenewegen has much to complain about, he knows if he tries to pass in a gap between a rider and the barrier then he runs the risk of having the door shut on him.
The move he did on Jakobsen in Poland was different, as they were side by side when he closed the door.

He crossed two virtual lanes – in the most dangerous way, closing against the barriers – in the final 100m of a 50km finishing straight. Need some consistency.
