Our dog (Staffy x JRT) does the same. He’s also got a very weird gait at times which we were told was due to stiffness in his back. We saw a dog physio (yes really) who put him on a little treadmill and prescribed some anti inflammatories.
The long and short of it is that it made no difference and he seems absolutely fine.
Rolling in the snow at every opportunity to ably doesn’t help his back.
