Oh that sounds like a nightmare.
Last year I hurt the same shoulder. I hit a tree going full speed, it stopped me dead. Was painful at the time but had no option other than to keep riding for about another hour or so. As soon as I got into the car and cooled down that pain was unbearable.
Thankfully I don’t think I tore anything last year as I did get it back to full strength with no lingering issues.
This time around its no where near as painful as it was last year, it’s feeling better everyday, so I’m hopeful there’s no permanent damage.
The steroid injection is interesting, were you given just one or did you go back for more?
I have Morton’s neuroma in my foot and I’ve been told a cortisone injection will probably be the next avenue I go down before looking at anything more drastic.
You feel it gave you immediate and long lasting relief?
Ooft! Looks like a golf ball in there. Had it checked out?
I feel like I’ve had more big crashes in the past two years than I’ve had in 20 years of riding.
I definitely don’t bounce off the ground the same way I used to.
Welcome to the club. I tore the ACJ on My right shoulder about 8 years ago, the worst thing was I'd taken the week off sick and my partner was helping with all the stuff I was struggling with, then I went back to work, and realised when getting changed that I couldn't get my T shirt off.
