The corrosion was too far gone. When I managed to remove the bushes, there was still bolt stuck to the insides with enough galvanic corrosion that I couldn’t rip it off.
Also yes. It was slow drilling, lots of stops, lots of spray-penetrating lubricant to act as cutting fluid and keep everything turning.

Old trick was to pour pickling vinegar (higher percent citric acid) to attack any corrosion. Also recommend cutting fluid dripped on the drill bit too helps the metal stay cool and cut the bits out.
