Dial is a bit busy. Quite unlike your other purchases. More of a dress option?
I expect I should just copy this into the GC thread, but whatever:
My other watches would all, to varying degrees, be classed as sports watches I would say.
The Seamaster 1948 is probably the closest I have to a dress watch.
I've got a Seamaster/Speedmaster/Railmaster and a Submariner - so probably time to try to round things out a little.
I'm also oddly fascinated by JLC as they seem to be universally regarded as fantastic quality, but (possibly because they don't play the same games as Rolex in terms of supply and marketing) they depreciate, so whereas a Rolex lists at say eight grand and is therefore only available second hand for eleven and up, JLC's are both available new (ten and a half for the Master Geographic) or second hand (six and a half for the watch I linked IIRC).
It's like a glimpse into a more normal world.
Obviously the font will make Regal push me in front of a tube train at some unknown point in the future, but some things in life you can't change.
The font thing is just a cross I have to bear. No reason for it to affect anyone else’s enjoyment of their watches. In fact I hope you all get some schadenfreude/entertainment from watching me suffer every time someone uses a system font on a watch.
