The corrosion was too far gone. When I managed to remove the bushes, there was still bolt stuck to the insides with enough galvanic corrosion that I couldn’t rip it off.
Also yes. It was slow drilling, lots of stops, lots of spray-penetrating lubricant to act as cutting fluid and keep everything turning.
Little bit of this and a little tap of that. Bloody hell. Nearly drilled the whole thing to get it free.
