In UK law or at least the 'done' thing. Is to 'offer' them the cuttings back, sometimes they might want them for building a nest, making an annoyingly smokey fire when your washing is out, splicing with another different kind of tree to make some kind of mutant tree etc.

I can empathise with this chat. This is after its been cut back quite a lot - its made the shed collapse under its weight at some point before we moved in.
Previous owners just did not give a shit about the back garden.

or their small children's safety
Are you often having to fend off foxes then?

O shit, that's a lot bigger than I expected

Look on the bright side - at least there isn't a trampoline next to your garden with a screaming kid staring at you ;)

My back door was accidentally not shut properly and I came down in the morning to all our shoes, etc spread across the grass. Overshoes ruined with the zips severed, and my waffa gloves in this state. I'd prefer not to see what a fox could do to a child.
Lucky for me, foxes seem less interested in £250 cycling shoes.

Foxes play, you left a load of toys out for them.

The foxes near here have taken to not just killing and eating chickens, ducks etc - but also stealing lambs to "play" with rather than eat

Oh bugger. Did you see this?

We had one of those until about an hour ago. Then the wind smashed it into nextdoors fence. Just removed the pad and net, need to go round and offer cash to fix the fence now.

How would you suggest I deal with the 30-50 feral foxes that run into my yard within 3-5 mins while my small kids play?

Fencing.

Unless my local foxes have been watching too much olympics, fences don't typically come at heights that are of much issue to your local fox population.

...I'm probably another 13 'stepping out of my front door straight into a fox turd on my doorstep' incidents away from a full blown tory voting, hunt promoting meltdown...

Teach your children about nature and wildlife?
Or just pave over the lot and fill it with loads of plastic and a massive trampoline.
-
• #51546
You could, potentially, use the trampoline as a significant part of a fox relocation contraption.

Can you just not ‘fold’ it back into their garden. We had a Neigbour’s Rose which was huge amd leaning into our fence and one day when they were
Out just pushed over to their garden and ultimately into their lawn they then cut it all the way back. -

On a windy day like today anything could have happened
Fools - they can have one for free. Plus foxes!
