  • Maybe it is easy enough to bodge. It is certainly an easy job to do with the right tools.

Are there special tools for the rear triangle hinge? Thought it was just a case of pushing the bushings in and the spindle through then bolting together?

There’s another local place that might be able to do it but it’s been a while since they used the pin tool so weren’t too sure and I forgot to check they can do the seattube insert.

It’s probably going to be easier to just send it to sjs.

Unless I could buy the tool off the other place for a decent price…

  • Well I got everything back from Ben and just had a go at drifting out the old bushings…no bueno.

Looked up the proper technique and suspect someone’s buffered that up before me as the m10 tap I had wasn’t really biting into the old bushes.

Not sure if an m10.5 or m11 (are these even sizes? Just about to look) would have any better luck.

Anyone know what the bore size is incase I just have to ream the old bushes right out?
