  • Maybe it is easy enough to bodge. It is certainly an easy job to do with the right tools. The wear in the hinges was resolved by going up a pin size, which was nice. I have done hinges on three Bs of mine/ my family so far, so I am running about even on cost doing it at home vs. bike shop. The next B refurb should put me in profit.

Are there special tools for the rear triangle hinge? Thought it was just a case of pushing the bushings in and the spindle through then bolting together?

There’s another local place that might be able to do it but it’s been a while since they used the pin tool so weren’t too sure and I forgot to check they can do the seattube insert.

It’s probably going to be easier to just send it to sjs.

Unless I could buy the tool off the other place for a decent price…
