Why the fuck are we putting funding into being shit at Winter Olympics sports?
Well, we don't really. People like Dave Ryding and our freestyle skiers/boarders have to self fund to various degrees. This is why Dave Ryding has adverts on his kit and most other nations don't do that. Winter sports funding has been squeezed for years. I think I read that our speed skaters were working third jobs to get to Beijing.
On the plus side, curling is really accessible in Scotland...lots of initiatives to get normal kids into it.
