Cracking final in the PDC worlds, I forgive Gary Anderson all the money I've spunked backing him in the past, he really deserved that win.
Now for the BDC to see the grass roots alternative. I do prefer the Lakeside atmosphere but these poor guys still need day jobs to make ends meet which was why the PDC splintered off in the first place.

Looking at getting a board to hang on the shed door in the summer and throw some arrows at.
Not sure I need a Winmau Blade (IIRC this was the DuraAce of boards BITD) but also don't want a complete POS.
Also, dart technology looks a bit fancier than the late 90s when I last played.
Any suggestions for board and a couple of different sets of darts for a couple of novices?

If you can find a decent condition Winmau Blade 4 second hand it'll last you ages. If you're not too fussed by staples the winmau diamond or nodor supawire/supabull are on the cheaper end of the new boards and will do you fine. https://www.reddragondarts.com/dartboards/all-dartboards
Darts wise, if you want new darts, some of red dragon's own brand darts (hellfire, blue fin, amberjack) are on the cheaper end of things. You can search by weight - for a beginner 25-26grams tends to work quite well and price: https://www.reddragondarts.com/darts/all-darts
The pro-level darts are eye watering prices. But there's also not a huge advantage in buy a new dart so if you know what type you like, ebay can throw up something decent for not much money.

Haven't had a dartboard in the house for many years, but on the old Winmau Blades I remember the inner bull ring being quite prone to cracking and splitting. Have they fixed that problem?
Continuing the walk-on music theme, what would yours be?
