    Just wasn't sure if there would be some benefit to using some sort of thunderbolt hub thingy. Or if that little square female socket next to the vga was something.

    I guess a hub allows for a 2nd screen. But this screen is already a bit of a beast on a small desk.

  • If you have a HDMI port already you could use that,its just one cable. The hub could be handy if you have a full desktop setup (2 screens / keyboard / mouse) which you want to leave in place if you regularly unplug the laptop and take it away - you could just leave the hub and unplug a single cable.

    the right hand port looks to be USB 2.0 type B - right hand in this image

    Would imply to me that the screen has a built in USB hub.
