  • My partner has the Dyson one.

The sensors are reasonably good, and it has helped with reducing cigarette smell from a downstairs neighbour (I suspect mostly by circulating air when smoking happens more than from filtering).

The humidifier doesn't feel particularly effective.

The purifier seems OK to quite good, but I've been in spaces that had single-function purifiers where it seemed better (post-cooking smells and particles noticeably drop quicker).

    All-in-all... it's OK-ish.

For the spend, that's not a great outcome.

Would she buy it again? Yes! Because her space is limited so having a purifier, humidifier and fan all in a single not entirely unattractive package means it scores well for her despite her acknowledging that it doesn't excel at anything.

Biggest complaint is that the small fan that has to run 24/7 to allow it to detect poor air quality increases in volume over time. It's now an annoying and constant whine after 1 year.

  • Thanks, I’ve definitely struck it off the list. I always get sucked into the Dyson hype 😉 but not this time
