It feels churlish to suggest that his career limiting crash was his own fault, and I'm sure it informs his current comments that he was on a TT bike at the time.
I have always liked Froome, but IIRC wasn’t he was riding his TT bike no hands down down a descent during a storm while putting his jacket on? And didn’t his team mate (Puccio?) tell him to put his hands on the bars just moments before? That doesn’t seem like the bike’s fault to me.

I'm not sure where we are in the revisionism cycle on Froome's bike handling, but I thought at his peak it was agreed that he was actually a more than competent bike handler? The only time I remember him crashing out of a GT where he really had a shot at winning was 2014.
